ARCHITECT: I. M. Pei (1961-67)

The US National Center for Atmospheric Research, NCAR, is federally funded and managed by the nonprofit University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.
The National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Laboratory in Boulder Colorado is considered by many to be one of I.M.Pei's best works.
He says he was influenced by both the rocky site in the foothills, and Colorado's ancient native cliff dwellings.
I had a very favorable impression of the complex.
